Miami Dolphins injury report: Latest on Jevon Holland, Skylar Thompson, Odell Beckham Jr. and more for Week 7

The Miami Dolphins have had a forgettable start to their 2024 NFL season. Coach Mike McDaniel's team has a 2-3 record going into Week 7's game against the Indianapolis Colts. A major reason for their inconsistencies has been a putrid injury record, with most of their key players spending time on the treatment table.

Ahead of their crunch matchup against the Colts, let's take a look at the Dolphins' injury report.

Miami Dolphins injury report

Here's a look at a couple of Miami Dolphins stars on the injury report ahead of the key game:

Jevon Holland's injury update

According to Pro Football Talk, Jevon Holland is unsure if he will play with a broken hand. The starting safety was listed as limited in practice throughout the week and is still figuring out if he will be able to play on Sunday.

Holland broke a bone in his left hand before the Dolphins' bye week. While he's been on record saying that he feels good, he's listed as doubtful on the team's injury report. He's the only player with that designation entering Week 7.

Skylar Thompson's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Miami Dolphins backup quarterback Skylar Thompson participated fully in every training session ahead of Sunday's game. He was dealing with a rib injury before the bye week.

With his return to training, Thompson could be the backup to Tyler Huntley during Sunday's road matchup against the Colts. The duo will serve as the Dolphins' primary options at quarterback pending Tua Tagovailoa's return from the injured reserve.

Odell Beckham Jr.'s injury update

According to the Miami Dolphins injury report, perennial Pro Bowler wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is listed as questionable due to a hamstring/personal designation. That comes just a day after Beckham Jr. made his long-awaited return to the game.

The Miami faithful will hope that the one-time Super Bowl champion is fit enough to play on Sunday. The franchise needs all the offensive firepower it can muster to retain its flickering playoff hopes.

De'Von Achane's injury update

According to the Miami Dolphins' website, De'Von Achane participated fully in every practice session this week. That's a huge relief for the fan base, as Achane seems to have fully recovered from a concussion.

It puts the dynamic running back in pole position to operate as RB1 versus the Colts, which will relieve some of the load from Pro Bowler Raheem Mostert.
