The Arizona Cardinals used a first-round pick on Marvin Harrison Jr., and in limited action, the wide receiver has shown that he can dominate at the highest level. He suffered a concussion during the Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers, and the Cardinals are hopeful for him to return.

Arizona has a 2-4 record and will play at home against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. The extra day to recover could help Harrison's situation as he tries to pass the concussion protocol.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Injury Update: What happened to Cardinals WR?

According to Adam Schefter, Harrison suited up for practice in a yellow non-contact jersey. He was a limited participant and is still in concussion protocol. The yellow jersey means that he was not allowed to be touched.

He sustained the injury midway through the second quarter of the Cardinals' game against the Green Bay Packers. He ran a slant route and was the target of a pass from quarterback Kyler Murray, which he couldn't hang on to.

However, even though he did not catch the ball, he had a hard collision with Packers linebacker Isaiah McDuffie. Harrison's head collided with McDuffie's thigh, and he was slow to get up, getting assisted by trainers as he left the field.

He did not return to the game, and head coach Jonathan Gannon later confirmed that he suffered a concussion on the hit.

Is Marvin Harrison Jr. expected to play against the Los Angeles Chargers?

At this point, it's unclear if he'll suit up for the game as he's into step three of the five-step plan to clear concussion protocol.

The deadline for him to clear the protocol would be around Saturday. He still has two days.

He did not register a reception on two targets during Sunday's game. This season, Marvin Harrison Jr. has 17 catches, 279 receiving yards and four touchdowns in six games.
