Keon Coleman fantasy football outlook for 2024: Is Bills WR a safe pick this year?

Keon Coleman was selected by the Buffalo Bills during the 2024 NFL draft as a part of their new-look offense. They shockingly parted ways with Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis during the offseason, eliminating the top two wide receivers from their roster. This creates an opportunity for the rest of their wide receivers, including the rookie.

With a fairly ideal situation in front of Coleman and plenty of targets available from one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, he makes for an intriguing option in fantasy football drafts. While rookies carry more risk than most other players, he also has more upside than many other available options. Here, let's look at where his outlook currently stands for the 2024 season.

Keon Coleman spent the first two seasons of his college football career with the Michigan State Spartans before transferring to the Florida State Seminoles for his final year. He received little playing time in his first collegiate season but demonstrated solid consistency in his final two years. This includes at least 50 receptions and seven touchdowns while eclipsing 650 yards in both seasons.

When adding in Coleman's massive frame at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, along with his elite athleticism, he became a coveted wide receiver prospect in the 2024 NFL draft. The Buffalo Bills were in desperate need of help at his position, so the pairing seems to make a ton of sense.

Is Keon Coleman a good fantasy pick?

Josh Allen has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the NFL during his career, but the 2024 season offers him a new challenge after his top two wide receivers departed during the offseason. If Coleman can occupy a large portion of the vacated targets, he has some of the highest upside of any rookie in fantasy football this year, regardless of their position.

Coleman slots in as WR46 in our 2024 Fantasy Football WR rankings. Our Who Should I Draft tool projects a return of 177 points for the rookie this season.
