Jaylen Waddle is expected to play a key role for the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 season. The wideout is entering his fourth year with the team, but there were concerns about his availability for the Dolphins' Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

The good news for fantasy managers is that Jaylen Waddle is cleared to play in the Dolphins' season opener on Sunday. The star wideout will practice with the team on Monday and should be good to go against the Jaguars, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has confirmed.

Thus, fantasy managers should not be too concerned about drafting Waddle, who is likely to rake in big fantasy points in Week 1.

Last week, reports claimed that Waddle had been practicing in a red non-contact jersey. The Dolphins' 2021 first-round pick was dealing with an undisclosed minor injury since early August. It was later reported that he was managing a calf injury.

However, Waddle is now ready to put the setback behind him heading into the 2024 season.

Waddle has been one of the most consistent wideouts in the NFL over the past three years. He has posted 1000+ receiving yard seasons in each of his three years with Miami.

In the 2023 season, Waddle racked up 1,014 yards on 72 receptions and caught four touchdowns in 14 regular-season appearances. He helped the Dolphins, who finished second in the AFC East with an 11-6 record, qualify for the playoffs.

Waddle has recorded 703.6 fantasy points in three years in the NFL. Last season, he totaled 198.6 fantasy points, the lowest tally of his Dolphins career, averaging a career-low 14.2 FPPG.

Nonetheless, Waddle has proven himself as a top fantasy pick in recent years. He also has a strong partnership with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The duo is expected to work well again in the upcoming season.
