Javonte Williams and Kareem Hunt had similar performances in Week 4, as their teams struggled to reach the 20-point mark in their respective wins against the New York Jets and LA Chargers, respectively. These two appear to be in a similar position heading into Week 5, when the Chiefs will face the Saints and the Broncos will clash against the Raiders.

Williams and Hunt's stocks are rising, but it's time to see which one should be the starter in Week 5 fantasy football.

Javonte Williams fantasy outlook Week 5

Javonte Williams has had a start to the season full of ups and downs. He's yet to reach the 100-yard threshold this season, but that number might be getting close after his most recent outing.

He had 16 carries against the Jets on Sunday, tallying 77 rushing yards. He's expected to have a solid Week 5, getting 14 touches for 57 rushing yards, along with three receptions and 18 receiving yards for a total production of 13.15 fantasy points, per ESPN.

The four-year running back started the season looking lost and unable to break tackles, which was his forte in his rookie campaign. The Jets game showed that the Broncos and Williams might be onto something, but fans will have to wait to see if this player can be closer to what many expected from him ahead of the 2021 NFL draft.

The Raiders have one of the most intense defenses in the league, but if they miss pieces like last week, Williams might be in for a good day.

Kareem Hunt fantasy outlook Week 5

After Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury, the Chiefs decided to reunite with Kareem Hunt. The veteran had a solid outing against the Chargers in another complicated game, becoming the best option on the waiver wire this week.

He collected 69 rushing yards in 14 attempts while getting two receptions for 16 yards. He didn't get into the end zone but still managed to move the ball. ESPN projects Hunt to carry the ball 11 times and get 50 yards out of that, as well as a rushing touchdown. More than that, he's projected to get two receptions for 13 yards and 11.8 fantasy points at the end of that Saints game.

New Orleans struggled to stop struggled to stop Saquon Barkley in Week 3 but slowed down Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson last Sunday (88 rushing yards combined).
