The running back did not play against the Baltimore Ravens last week when the Eagles recorded a 16-13 win in their preseason opener. Now, fans are wondering whether Barkley will feature in Philly's second preseason game against the New England Patriots on Thursday.

As per ESPN, Saquon Barkley could see some preseason action against the Patriots later on Thursday. However, the Eagles are yet to confirm whether the running back will take part in the contest at Gillette Stadium.

Barkley is listed as available on the Eagles roster. However, the Philadelphia outfit will be cautious to avoid any potential injury to the player before the regular season. Thus, there is a possibility that Barkley will be given a limited number of reps against New England.

Barkley previously played six seasons with the New York Giants before signing for the Eagles. The running back racked up 5,211 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns on 1,201 attempts. He also recorded 2,100 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 288 receptions.

Barkley hit the ground running when the Giants selected him second in the 2018 NFL draft and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. He also has two Pro Bowl honors to his name.
