The NFL has its 15th International Series in the 2022 NFL season, with several tantalizing fixtures on the international calendar. Since the International Series began in 2007, 31 of the league's 32 teams have taken the field in another country, with games played in Mexico City and London, the capital of the United Kingdom. There is an added spin on the 2022 International Series as Germany will host it’s first-ever National Football League game. Then along the line, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers made their international debut when they faced the New York Giants in London. The game ended in favor of the Giants as they triumphed with a 27-22 scoreline.

Will there be an NFL London game today?

No, there will be no NFL London game on October 23, 2022, so football enthusiasts resident in London will have to wait until next week for a matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, it's important to note that the Jaguars are the most capped NFL team in the London games. They played a staggering eight games in the English capital, earning a 4-4 record.

Next week's London game is bound to be an interesting one, as the Russell Wilson-led Denver Broncos will be facing a Trevor Lawrence-led Jacksonville Jaguars, with two playoff hopefuls facing off at the halfway point of the 2022 season. Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos haven't had the start they would have hoped for, as the offense is still getting used to the new head coach and quarterback combo, while the Jacksonville Jaguars are performing significantly better than last year when they had the league's worst record, and arguably the league's worst coach in Urban Meyers.

Previous NFL London games played.

London has hosted some classic matchups over the years. The most recent London game occurred on Sunday, October 9, 2022, with the New York Giants overcoming the Green Bay Packers. Additionally, classic matchups played in London included the Carolina Panthers outscoring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37 to 26 in a 2019 matchup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Then there was the Los Angeles Rams' 2017 whitewash of the Arizona Cardinals at Twickenham Stadium. Then, who can forget the iconic first-ever London match held way back in 2007, which saw the New York Giants emerge victorious over the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium. The league has finally gone global, and the International Series has played a major role.

There have been plans by Roger Goddell, Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft, and other league stakeholders to expand the International Series to even more countries following this year's game in Munich, Germany.
