The Buffalo Bills are 1-1 to start the preseason. They lost their first preseason game against the Chicago Bears but recovered with an impressive win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills' fanbase will be looking forward to seeing whether their star quarterback plays in their final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

Is Josh Allen playing today?

Josh Allen will not play in today's game versus the Panthers. The two-time Pro Bowler is dealing with a niggling injury, and head coach Sean McDermott has elected to rest Josh Allen and the rest of his starters.

McDermott initially wanted to field Allen and several others, but the spike in injuries curtailed his plan. McDermott told reporters:

"Initially, the aim was to play the ones this week, but due to the injuries and the lack of availability, we will take the ones out, play the other guys, and take a good look at them; it should be a decent opportunity for them to put their best foot forward and for us to have a solid evaluation of that part of the roster."

Breaking down the Bills' schedule

Buffalo will end its preseason with a game against the Carolina Panthers. After the Panthers' game, the franchise will prepare for a Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

To end September, the Panthers play the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens. Buffalo will then play the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks in October.

Sean McDermott's side has three November games to look forward to. They'll play against the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs. Their bye week comes right after in Week 12.

Buffalo's December is their most stacked month. They have fixtures against the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, and Jets. Their last game is in January, and it's against the Patriots.
