The Colts have ruled out Jonathan Taylor for their matchup against the Dolphins on Sunday. Hence, fantasy managers should steer clear of picking the running back in Week 7.

Taylor did not practice during the week, and his return timeline remains unclear. However, on Thursday, the player said his recovery was progressing well since his ankle sprain didn't need surgery.

“The only good thing about it was when you don’t hear the word ‘surgery,’’’ Taylor said. “Like, OK, we know this is fixable. We know we can come back better, stronger, faster.’’

Taylor suffered his ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Indy's Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has missed the past two games and will sit out his third game of the season on Sunday.

This season, Taylor has recorded 349 yards on 72 carries and has rushed for four touchdowns. He also has 77 yards on 10 receptions in four appearances.

Taylor has tallied 72.6 fantasy points, averaging 18.1 points per game.

Nonetheless, since Taylor won't suit up against Miami, Trey Sermon, Tyler Goodson and Evan Hull are expected to run the ball for the Colts. While Sermon has been nursing a knee injury, he practiced with the team in the past two days.
