Christian Watson is expected to play a big role for the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 season. The wideout struggled with injuries last season that hampered his availability. Now, ahead of a fresh season, fans want to know if Watson will play for Green Bay against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, in Week 1 of the 2024 season in Brazil.

Christian Watson will play against the Eagles in Brazil on Friday. The wideout is fit and listed as active on the Packers roster.
Watson did not play in any of Green Bay's three preseason games this year. The Packers appeared to keep the receiver out of harm's way before the regular season, which means Watson will suit up for the Week 1 game.
In the 2023 season, Watson was marked inactive for Green Bay's opening three games due to a hamstring issue. He then played nine consecutive games and posted 422 yards on 28 receptions and caught five touchdowns, before a hamstring injury cut short his regular season in Week 13.
Although Watson was able to return for Green Bay's postseason, he recorded only 20 yards on two receptions in two games. The Packers were eliminated from the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.
Nonetheless, Watson is now eager to get started with the Packers in the 2024 season, after a completely healthy training camp.
“That’s been my goal all offseason. That’s been my goal all along,” Watson said of being ready for the opener. “It hasn’t worked out for me like that in the past, but … this is how it’s supposed to be. I want to play 100% of the games. I want to play 100% of the practice. I’m right where I want to be."
