Is Brian Robinson Jr. playing today? Week 6 update on RB for Commanders vs Ravens

The Washington Commanders go up against the Baltimore Ravens this afternoon in what will serve as a showdown between two of the most exciting offenses in the league.

The Ravens enter Week 6 with the best offense in the NFL by yards per play and EPA per play. Daniels, meanwhile, has breathed new life into the Washington franchise. Through five games, Daniels' numbers (77.1 completion percentage, 1,135 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, 300 rushing yards, 4 rushing TDs) see him firmly at the top of the Offensive Rookie of the Year rankings but those numbers will not look out of place in an MVP conversation either.

As the Commanders look to pick up their fifth win of the season, they were handed a major injury blow. Lead running back Brian Robinson Jr. has been ruled out with a knee injury he suffered in the Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Robinson Jr. was a DNP in practice all week and was listed as questionable heading into Week 6. However, on Saturday, the Commanders ruled out him out of the Ravens game.

In Robinson Jr.'s absence, Austin Ekeler will serve as the lead running back.

Head coach Dan Quinn had this to say about Brian Robinson Jr.'s injury:

"It feels more short, but anytime you're dealing with an injury you want to make sure, is there any longevity to that? We wouldn't put him out there if that was the case."

Robinson Jr.'s injury will serve as a big loss to the Commanders. In five games, he has rushed for 325 yards and five touchdowns. He was limited to 23 snaps against the Browns last week but still managed to find the end zone twice.

Commanders vs Ravens injury report

Apart from Robinson Jr., safety Tyler Owens is out of Week 6 with a shin injury.

For the Ravens, linebacker Malik Harrison, cornerback Arthur Maulet and DT Broderick Washington have all been ruled out.

The Commanders vs Ravens game will kick off at 1 pm (EDT) live from the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The game will be broadcast live on CBS.
