While O.J. Simpson made a name in the NFL for destroying defenses, comedian Dave Chappelle became well known for putting sensitive people on the defensive with some of his jokes. However, when meeting the football star O.J. Simpson for the first time, he revealed he was the one watching out.

During a stand-up special on Netflix, the comedian talked about what it was like to meet the star for the first time.

Here's how he put it, sprinkling in some jokes at the same time:

"I had done a show and then the guy from the club came up and said, 'Hey, O.J. Simpson's here. He said he wants to meet you.' I ran down the steps and O.J. was down there. He said: 'It's really good to meet you and you do a lot of good work. I hope good things happen for you in your life.' I was like, 'Man, thanks, Mr. Juice.'"

Will the former running back get charged with another crime in his life?

He continued, describing his wife as "soon-to-be-slain":

"Standing beside him -- I don't know the nice way to say this -- his soon-to-be-slain wife. Ladies and gentlemen, man the f--- up or you're not going to make it through the end of this show..."

He went on with the story, claiming she hugged him:

"I'll tell you that woman was very nice to me. She actually embraced me. She said, 'I think you are adorable.' And she hugged me. She goes, 'Good luck to you' and she held me for a long time. And I whispered in ear, 'B----, are you trying to get us both killed?' I'm just kidding. I didn't say that, but that was the first time in a nutshell."
