Wide receivers are a key component of fantasy football. A stellar fantasy WR racks up receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. There are a number of such players in the league.

With Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season underway, let's explore the injury status of a couple of fantasy football assets at the wide receiver position.

Week 6 WRs injury report

Here are the updates on the elite wide receivers ahead of Week 6

A.J. Brown's injury update

According to Yahoo Sports, A.J. Brown was a full participant in the Philadelphia Eagles' training session on Thursday. That means that the perennial Pro Bowler has been a full participant in consecutive practice sessions for the first time since he got injured.

Brown looks poised to play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Malik Nabers' injury update

According to Yahoo Sports, Malik Nabers remains in concussion protocol. The rookie wide receiver suffered a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys and missed his side's Week 5 victory against the Seattle Seahawks.

The report states that Nabers is in the same recovery spot. Hence, it's looking increasingly unlikely that he'll play in Week 6.

Josh Downs' injury update

According to Yahoo Sports, Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Down was absent from Thursday's training session. Down is dealing with a toe injury that he suffered in Week 5's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The star pass catcher is now in a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of his side's Week 6 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Nico Collins' injury update

According to ABC News, Houston Texans star WR Nico Collins has been placed on the injured reserve. That means Collins will be sidelined from action for at least the next four games.

Collins suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of his side's 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 5.

DeVonta Smith's injury update

According to Yahoo Sports, DeVonta Smith was a full participant in Thursday's training session. The speedy wide receiver hasn't played since he suffered a concussion against the New Orleans Saints.

Thankfully, it's looking increasingly likely that he'll feature against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.

Rashod Bateman's injury update

According to RotoBaller, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman was a limited participant in Thursday's training session. Bateman has been one of Lamar Jackson's main offensive weapons in 2024. His fantasy football managers will hope that he avoids any major setbacks ahead of Week 6.

Diontae Johnson's injury update

According to RotoBaller, Carolina Panthers WR1 Diontae Johnson was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury.

The injury has been a recurring issue in recent weeks. He played through the issue in Week 5 and recorded a paltry stat line of three receptions for 23 yards. He's expected to feature in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons.
