Sam Darnold has made one of the most impressive rises up the trade value chart of any fantasy football player this year. He opened the year as a backup quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings but now ranks as the 11th most valuable quarterback to acquire.

On the other hand, Patrick Mahomes continues to fall down the rankings. Despite being the favorite to win the NFL MVP award this season, he ranks as just the 10th best fantasy quarterback to trade for entering Week 7.

Saquon Barkley sits firmly on top of the running back trade value chart and currently ranks as the most valuable target of players, regardless of position. He has been dominant in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles and is a desirable asset in all fantasy formats.

The top spot was occupied by Breece Hall earlier in the 2024 season, but the New York Jets running back has dropped all the way to ninth place this week. He has lost some of workload to rookie Braelon Allen, which contributes to his decreasing trade value.

The top of the wide receiver trade value chart is filled with many of the same names that were there at the start of the 2024 season. In fact, the top six receivers to target in the trade market has five of the same players in Week 7 as compared to the start of the year.

The one newcomer to the top-six is Drake London who is having a strong season for the Atlanta Falcons. Adding quarterback Kirk Cousins appears to have unlocked his potential and his value is increasing as the season goes on.

Sam LaPorta opened the 2024 season as the most valuable tight end to acquire in fantasy trades. He has failed to repeat his dominant rookie performance from last year so far, resulting in him dropping into fifth place ahead of Week 7.

He has been surpassed by a breakout rookie from this season in Brock Bowers, who currently ranks fourth, but has seen his value increase each week. His role with the Las Vegas Raiders may expand even further now that they traded Davante Adams, so he is worth the expensive investment.
