Evan Engram fantasy outlook, ADP, stats and more for 2024

A tight end is being drafted in the 7th round of fantasy football drafts that will win you your fantasy league.

Let me talk to you about the most slept-on TE in the game – Evan Engram.

Last year, Evan Engram had ONE game with fewer than 6 targets. No other TE can make that claim. Not Travis Kelce. Not Mark Andrews. Not Sam LaPorta—nobody. His 13.5 points per game were fourth-best among tight ends.

Want more? Engram caught 114 balls last year - fourth most of any player in the NFL. That was 19 more receptions than the next closest TE.

Per Fantasy Points Data, Engram ran the highest percentage of routes per drop-back of any TE in football last season at 82.3%.

In fact, his target percentage was better than every TE not named T.J. Hockenson – and that was by a meager 3 tenths of a point.

Need more in-depth stats? Engram led all TEs in first read and designed targets, meaning the Jags are scheming up ways to get him the football.

The reason he's not in the conversation for TE 1 is his four touchdowns last season.

If that number were 6—the same as George Kittle, Hunter Henry, Mark Andrews, Cole Kmet, and David Njoku—he would've been TE 1.

His current ADP is TE 8.

Jacksonville lost receiver Calvin Ridley and replaced him with a rookie, Brian Thomas, and Jag in human form, Gabe Davis. While both are nice players, neither are the target hogs that Ridley was. This means Engram can find even more looks as a trusted outlet for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Where should you draft Evan Engram?

So, think about this. You can get a player who was second in points at his position last year. A player who saw the most targets at the position. He was also someone who finished with the third-most points in his position, making him the eighth player off the board in that position. Folks, that is what you call insane value.

While I get the love for Travis Kelce and Sam LaPorta, I’m not investing a top-36 pick at the tight-end position. My draft plans have me taking impactful receivers and running backs there.

The sweet spot for Engram in round seven is made even better by looking at the players going around him. Guys like Terry McLaurin or Rome Odunze aren’t even close to being impact players at their positions. These are WR 3 or 4 types who will be on your bench for many weeks. Don’t waste the pick. Target Evan Engram instead.

Dominate the tight-end position this year by simply drafting Evan Engram 75 picks into your draft.
