The picture is getting better for both Diontae Johnson and Terry McLaurin in fantasy football, as quarterbacks for the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders are less of a question mark currently. Deciding between the two of them is going to be tough.

Is Diontae Johnson a great fantasy pick in Week 5?

He certainly improved a lot in his last two games, which is related to Andy Dalton as his new quarterback following Bryce Young's benching. He has surpassed 200 yards in Weeks 3 and 4, scored a touchdown in both of them and turned into a superstar for fantasy purposes.

But in a game against the Chicago Bears, who have been playing great defense at the start of the season, perhaps it's worth taking a back seat depending on your other options. This matchup gets difficult for many reasons.

If you haven't paid attention to the Washington Commanders offense in these first four games, you've missed the Jayden Daniels show. The rookie quarterback has dominated the league in his first appearances, throwing the ball efficiently and also running a lot. There are a lot of good things happening.

Although McLaurin has had fewer receiving yards than Johnson this season, he's the WR1 in a matchup that's a bit more favorable for the Commanders, as they play a Cleveland Browns team that's not up to the standards at this point of the season. It's going to be a close debate between the pair, though.

Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer confirms that this is going to be a close battle between the two of them, but the edge is with the Commanders' receiver. McLaurin has a great chance to feast against the Cleveland Browns.

Both wide receivers can put up some solid numbers, though. None is going to be a superstar in Week 5, but a lot of times, the right way to win a fantasy game is just to do enough. Terry gives you a better chance.
