Just like that, the New York Jets find themselves in unknown territory. Having slipped to a 2-3 record after the 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, Jets owner Woody Johnson decided he had seen enough. America's 388th-richest man woke up on Tuesday morning and fired Saleh, leaving defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich in charge.

'Brick' suggested that everything is on the table regarding playcalling duties on offense. With the Jets not exactly utilizing star running back Breece Hall's talents to the fullest, will we see the talented playmaker shine under an interim head coach?

Breece Hall fantasy outlook for Week 6

In all honesty, the Jets' playcalling in London was pretty weird. After the loss on Sunday, Aaron Rodgers admitted they were trying to get the run game going early after what happened in Denver the week prior. But it just didn't stick.

The Jets' ground game was borderline non-existent despite them trying to get Breece Hall and rookie Braelon Allen involved. Hall led the RB room in rushing attempts, carrying the ball nine times for 23 yards, which amounts to an average of 2.6 yards per carry. Allen didn't fare any better, adding 13 yards on his five carries at 2.6 YPC.

This was the second straight week where Hall registered dire numbers. Last week, the Jets offense as a whole had a stinker. This past Sunday, it was more of the same. Hall did contribute three catches for 14 yards but it's not the production you probably signed up for when you drafted him in the first round. Over his past three games, Hall has averaged 6.6 fantasy points. YIKES.

At this point, the only cause for optimism is that Jeff Ulbrich could shake things up. The Jets go up against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football and with Aaron Rodgers nursing a low ankle sprain, there's an opportunity for the Jets to turn to Breece Hall to keep the offense ticking. We're not selling on Hall just yet but if Week 6 is a wash, we might have to reconsider.

David Montgomery fantasy outlook for Week 6

If you zoom out a little, Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery has been quietly and consistently impressive entering Week 6.

In Week 4 against Seattle, Montgomery had 12 rushing attempts for 40 yards and a touchdown AND he caught one pass for 40 yards in a 42-19 win. The Lions' ground game hasn't remotely been as terrible as the Jets' but having Jahmyr Gibbs and Montgomery split the reps has eaten away at both their production.

Montgomery was able to get into the end zone against Seattle but we're seeing the Lions turn to Gibbs a little more at that end, which is concerning for anyone with Montgomery on their roster. Montgomery still has a touchdown in each of his four games so far and the Week 3 outing against the Arizona Cardinals was particularly impressive.

This week, the Lions go up against a Dallas defense that is beginning, albeit very slowly, to turn things around. It's a matchup to exploit, but the question is to what degree?

David Montgomery or Breece Hall: Who should I start in Week 6?

We like the Buffalo matchup for Breece Hall and the Dallas matchup for David Montgomery. We know Hall hasn't set the league alight like most of us wished but this Jets offense is drinking from the last-chance saloon.

We're inclined to give Hall one last chance to see if the Jets have any fire left in them after Robert Saleh's exit.

Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer is also on the same page as us, predicting a return of 13.2 points for Hall over Montgomery's 12.5 points.
