The Monday Night Football showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles will signal the end of Week 2 of the regular season. And if the rest of Week 2 was an indicator, this could be another great game.

There were a number of surprise scorelines on Sunday, chief among them being the New Orleans Saints' 44-19 beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys. The Las Vegas Raiders also pulled off a win against the Baltimore Ravens, a result that must have thrown several parlays out of the window.

But as the Eagles get set to face the Falcons on Monday night, here's all you need to know about their fantasy matchups to cap off Week 2.

Dallas Goedert fantasy projection for Week 2

The Eagles were handed some bad news on Sunday with A.J. Brown ruled out of the MNF game due to a hamstring injury. The burden on offense will now fall on DeVonta Smith, who looked like a WR1 against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, and Jahan Dotson, who arrived via a trade from the Washington Commanders. So, where does that leave Dallas Goedert?

Usually, Goedert's fantasy return is a coin toss given the state of the Eagles offense. But with A.J. Brown injured, the Eagles tight end becomes a little more intriguing. Goedert caught four of his five targets for 31 yards against Green Bay in Week 1.

Expect Jalen Hurts to target Goedert a little more this week against the Falcons given DeVonta Smith will attract a lot of attention on coverage. If you have Goedert on your roster, consider starting him this week.

Kyle Pitts fantasy projection for Week 2

Can we all agree that Week 1 was kind of freaky for tight ends in fantasy football? Between Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, and even Dalton Kincaid, we didn't see an encouraging return in general.

In Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pitts managed to get one touchdown, so it wasn't all bad. But this is his fourth year in the league, and despite being tapped as a generational talent, the Falcons have struggled to get the best out of him so far.

The Falcons didn't look all too convincing in Week 1 either, losing to a Russell Wilson-less Steelers. But here are some numbers for Pitts. He took six weeks to score a decent haul last season. That being said, he was on the field for the vast majority of the Falcons' offensive snaps in Week 1.

Week 2 is different gravy. The Eagles have an aggressive defense and Pitts will likely struggle to get things going. Pitts may very well live up to his potential but it's difficult to see him do that against Philadelphia on Monday night.

Dallas Goedert vs Kyle Pitts final verdict

Our Start 'Em Sit 'Em tool is a little higher on Pitts. It projects a return of nearly 10 points, as opposed to Goedert's 8.6 points.

However, A.J. Brown's injury could very well swing this matchup in Goedert's favor. If you're picking between Goedert and Pitts, the former is more likely to deliver on Monday Night Football.
