There was a time when Christian Kirk was looking poised to become the Jacksonville Jaguars' star wideout of the future.
After he joined from his hometown Arizona Cardinals in 2022, he became their leading passing target, putting up career-highs in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns en route the franchise's first division title and playoff appearance since Sacksonville.
However, since then, it has been a downward trend, as Kirk sits behind first-round rookie Brian Thomas Jr. in the WR hierarchy. And he could face some adversity against the Indianapolis Colts, who boast Pro Bowler Kenny Moore II in their secondary.
The good thing is the rest of that unit, including safeties Rodney Thomas II and Nick Cross, has yet to fulfill their maximum potential.
Is Jordan Addison a good fantasy pick in Week 5?
When the Minnesota Vikings ditched the long-serving and locally born Adam Thielen in the 2023 offseason, it was widely thought that they had an eye on Jordan Addison. After all, they needed a complement to Justin Jefferson.
And they found a gem in the 23rd overall pick - 911 yards and 10 touchdowns from 70 catches, one of the bright spots during a collapse from the divisinal title. This season, he has played just two games (both starts), but the Vikings have done shockingly well.
The New York Jets, though, appear to have a response: a monstrous defense that can shut down their former starting quarterback Sam Darnold in a variety of ways. Whether it be Quinnen Williams getting sacks or Sauce Gardner breaking up passes, he may be in for a difficult day in London.
Is Tee Higgins a good fantasy pick in Week 5?
The Cincinnati Bengals have had a slow start to the 2024 season, not winning until last week at the Carolina Panthers. One major reason is Tee Higgins' absence, as he missed the first two games with a hamstring injury.
He has been trying to make up in the last two games, but things won't be easy for him this week. The Baltimore Ravens boast a monstrous defense that can kill plays before they truly get going. And that includes defensive backs Marlon Humphrey and Kyle Hamilton, who can shut him and Ja'Marr Chase down deep.
