Right guard Chris Lindstrom, a Pro Bowler, reportedly got a hefty five-year deal renewal with the Atlanta Falcons, making him one of the best-paid offensive linemen in the NFL.

Lindstrom signed a $105 million deal, committing to remain with the team until the 2028 season.

With this agreement, Lindstrom surpasses Quenton Nelson's $20 million as the highest-paid guard, as per ESPN. After Trent Williams, David Bakhtiari, and Laremy Tunsil, Lindstrom now has the fourth-highest offensive lineman contract in league history, with a yearly salary of $21 million.

With that five-year agreement, Lindstrom is set to become the first guard in NFL history to sign a deal worth more than $100 million.

A few minutes after the announcement that the Atlanta Falcons had acquired tight end Jonnu Smith from the New England Patriots in return for a seventh-round draft selection, it was revealed that Lindstrom had extended his contract.

After the last game of the 2020 season, Chris Lindstrom stated that he would like to play for the Falcons for the rest of his career; as a result, he will continue with them for at least through 2028. This is a great signing for the franchise as it secures a key member of their offensive line.

How has Chris Lindstrom performed at Atlanta so far?

In the 2019 NFL Draft, Boston College's Lindstrom was selected with the 14th overall selection by the Falcons.

Last season, Chris Lindstrom, the only Pro Bowler for his team, started to show the league the stuff he's made of. He received the highest overall grade of any offensive lineman in the NFL (95 from Pro Football Focus), and his new agreement now takes that into account.

Since being selected in the first round of the 2019 draft, Chris Lindstrom has started all 55 games he has participated in.

For the past three years, Chris Lindstrom hasn't been out of action, and in 2021, he was the sole guard not to concede one sack.

In 2022, Chris Lindstrom had a breakthrough season, blocking for the third-best running attack in the NFL while surrendering just nine pressures, two sacks, and one quarterback hit on 1,047 offensive snaps.

He was selected to the Second Team All-Pro, the Pro Bowl, and Pro Football Focus listed him as the top offensive lineman in the NFL at run blocking.
