Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown was listed as a limited practice participant on the team's injury report on Thursday due to a quadriceps ailment.

Fantasy managers and Bengals supporters were alarmed to learn that Brown was only a limited participant on Thursday after being a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

Although it will be important to keep an eye on Brown’s injury on Friday, the fact that he participated in practice on Thursday suggests that, barring any last-minute setbacks, he could be ready to play on Sunday.

Additionally, Kelsey Conway, a Bengals' reporter for Cincinnati Enquirer, reported on Friday that Brown was going through warm ups at the beginning of practice, which bodes very well for his potential availability status for Week 6.

Zack Moss, the starting running back for the Cincinnati Bengals, is also recuperating from a foot ailment, so there have been some speculations that Brown may shoulder the heavy workload in Week 7.

With just one win this season, the Bengals will face the New York Giants this weekend in a game Cincinnati must win. The squad will need to be at full strength in Week 6 as they don't have any room for more mistakes, at least until they can string a few wins together.

Chase Brown injury update: What happened to the Bengals' RB?

Chase Brown did not suffer any injuries in the Cincinnati Bengals' Week 5 game against the Baltimore Ravens and he was a full participant in the team's first practice held on Wednesday. However, he appeared on the injury report on Thursday with a quadriceps injury designation.

While it's unknown where or how Brown sustained the injury, we have reasons to believe it is minimal and will not stop the RB from playing in Week 6.

Over the last two weeks, Chase Brown's workload in the Bengals' backfield has gradually increased. He has accrued 32 touches and three touchdowns during that time while also demonstrating respectable levels of versatility with multiple catches.

Brown had 14 ball rushes in the first three games of the 2024 season, but he has carried the ball 27 times and scored twice in his last two games.
