Jonathan Gannon has been appointed as the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. After preparing for the Super Bowl until Sunday and being asked to interview by Michael Bidwill and general manager Monti Ossenfort on Monday, Jonathan Gannon, the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, wrapped up a hectic week on Tuesday by agreeing to the terms on a five-year agreement.

The team had a 4-13 season and is now under Gannon's control to turn things around. The Cardinals must have faith that Gannon can handle this difficult task.

The 2022 NFL season's conclusion couldn't have ended fast enough for the Arizona Cardinals. The squad had a spate of injuries as the season began, and that's precisely how they ended up, even having to start third-choice quarterback Trace McSorley late in the season.

Considering that they were among the worst teams in the league regarding defending against receiving touchdowns through the air, the team will need to improve their defense under Gannon.

For the offense, the Cardinals could still benefit from some strength in depth and assistance from the interior offensive line. However, they will generally be adequate in that department if they can catch a few breaks with their fitness issues in 2023

The NFC West will compete against the entire NFC East and AFC North next season, and with the current campaign over, the Arizona Cardinals are aware of which teams they will face.

While we are not aware of the timeline of the regular season schedule for the 2023 Cardinals, we are aware of who they will be playing at home and away. The opposition the Cardinals will encounter next season will be different in 2022.

The Cardinals' biggest road test will be against the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles. The Chicago Bears, who have the top overall pick in the draft, and the Houston Texans, who have the second overall pick, are two of the teams that the Cardinals will also play away from home.
