Bills' worst draft picks over past 10 years ranked

Here's a look at five draft picks that the Bills' fanbase would want to forget:

5. Vosean Joseph, Linebacker, Florida, 2019 NFL Draft

Vosean Joseph had a decent college career at the University of Florida. He had 161 tackles, four sacks and one interception as a member of the college. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the fifth round of the 2019 draft.

Joseph suffered an injury ahead of his rookie season. He was subsequently placed on injured reserve. The linebacker never played in the NFL, and these days he plays in the Canadian Football League for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

4. Nathan Peterman, Quarterback, Tennessee, 2017 NFL Draft

Nathan Peterman was drafted by the Bills in a loaded 2017 NFL Draft. The Bills thought they got a steal in the fifth round, but that wasn't the case.

The franchise continuously started Peterman over Tyrod Taylor to add salt to the injury. It never worked out, and Peterman rightfully makes our list.

3. Sammy Watkins, Wide receiver, Clemson, 2014 NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills selected Sammy Watkins with the fourth overall selection in the 2014 Draft. Watkins was expected to be a future star as he showcased his skill set at the collegiate level.

However, injuries affected his performances in Buffalo, and he never became the team's top wide receiver. He was eventually traded to the LA Rams.

2. Zay Jones, Wide receiver, East Carolina, 2017 NFL Draft

Zay Jones was selected in the second round of the 2017 Draft. The Bills saw him as a long-term solution to their WR problems.

However, Jones never made it in Buffalo and dealt with numerous on- and off-the-field issues during his time with the Bills. He was eventually traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019.

1. Cody Ford, Guard, Oklahoma, 2019 NFL Draft

Cody Ford was a star during his collegiate football days at Oklahoma. Hence, the Bills finding a player of his stature in round two was considered a steal.

However, he never lived up to expectations in Buffalo. He suffered numerous injuries while playing for the Bills and was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.
