Are all TNF games on Prime Video? Why Ravens-Chiefs' Thursday night game won't air on Amazon's platform

It's here. After a long, LONG wait, the 2024-25 NFL season is here. Like, right here actually. Week 1's Thursday night kickoff will see the Kansas City Chiefs welcome the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium in what will serve as a rematch of the AFC Championship Game from last season.

But enough about history. We're looking forward to the 2024 NFL Schedule and the league could not have possibly positioned itself any better to ring in the ratings in Week 1. There is a caveat here, though. While the NFL season will kick off with Ravens vs Chiefs, the game will not air on Prime Video despite Amazon's platform bagging the rights for all TNF games.

Why is Ravens-Chiefs NFL kickoff not on Prime Video?

Despite being scheduled for 8:20 PM tonight, the 2024 NFL kickoff game is not technically categorized under the Thursday Night Football schedule, since it's the first game of the season. Instead, this game falls under NBC's Sunday Night Football schedule.

In addition, tomorrow night's historic Eagles-Packers game that will kick off from Brazil will also fall under NBC's schedule since they have the broadcasting rights for that game.

However, the rest of the TNF games, starting with Week 2's Bills-Dolphins showdown at Hard Rock Stadium right up to Week 17's Seahawks-Bears game will air exclusively on Prime Video.
