The Buffalo Bills are entering a new chapter of the Josh Allen era.

Multiple key players, most notably Stefon Diggs, are gone. But the team is still adamant that their era of contention is not done yet, even as the likes of the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins continue upgrading their rosters.

The revamped roster faces many questions, but these are the five biggest ahead of training camp.

5 major concerns for Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills ahead of training camp

#5. Who will be the starting center?

With Mitch Morse gone, a void has emerged at center.

Will Clapp has not been a starter for most of his career, but he does bring familiarity. Current offensive coordinator Joe Brady had been an assistant when he was a rookie, and that connection may finally give him his breakthrough.

But Sedrick Van Pan-Granger may have something to say about that. A two-time college champion at Georgia, he boasts much starting experience there and may be catapulted into a prominent position.

#4. Will the new secondary additions live up to their predecessors?

The purge of the Bills' secondary was one of the biggest of the offseason. Tre'Davious White: Released, now a Los Angeles Ram. Jordan Poyer: Released, now a Miami Dolphin. While Micah Hyde is still a free agent, he has hinted at retirement.

Their replacements – like Cole Bishop, Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin – have much to do to prove themselves worthy of filling those Pro Bowlers' shoes.

#3. Dalton Kincaid or Dawson Knox?

The Bills have a strong tight-end duo of one-time Pro Bowler Dawson Knox and burgeoning sophomore Dalton Kincaid. But eventually, one must surpass the other.

Whom will they lean on: The veteran with a massive contract for his position or the prospect who has arguably much more upside?

#2. Will Von Miller regain his form?

When the Bills signed Von Miller to a monstrous six-year, $120-million contract in 2022, the expectation was that he would use his Super Bowl-winning experience to elevate them to the next level.

But instead, he has been shockingly forgettable. An ACL tear put him out of action midseason, and he played poorly when he returned. For 2024, his contract has been restructured, so he will be under great pressure to deliver.

#1. What will the WR hierarchy be?

And now, the most pressing concern.

No Stefon Diggs. No Gabe Davis. And a litany of new guys surrounding slot man Khalil Shakir.

Keon Coleman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Chase Claypool and Curtis Samuel will be engaged in an all-out battle to become the corner receivers and thus the top two passing options on the team. But can they live up to their predecessors?

Josh Allen and Co. will look to continue their dominance and win the AFC East once again next season, but reaching a Super Bowl remains the main benchmark by which the Bills will be judged.
