NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch completed the practice sessions and qualifying laps, gaining experience of the re-pavement on the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course. After racing for a few laps on the track, Busch agrees with Martin Truex Jr.'s concerning comments on the track.

Truex raised his voice and mentioned "getting a conclusion every single lap." Later, Busch came to support Truex for raising his voice regarding the safety of drivers on the track. The former Cup Series Champion was questioned after his practice race about the whole concussion issue, and the reporter asked:

"Martin Truex, Jr. said that he felt like he was getting a concussion every single lap. You know that? And I wonder, Is that overblown?"

"It's not overblown. It's 1000% correct. I don't know when I'll see the data, probably not until Monday, but it f**k my head hurts," replied Kyle Busch. [00:17]

The Charlotte Roval circuit specially targeted the front stretch chicane, introducing the turtle curbing to make it more challenging for the driver to test their braking skills.

This change eliminates the chances of drivers shortcutting each other, and the corners are also defined.

The driver of #8 Chevy Kyle Busch further compared the similarities of the turtle curbing of the Roval to the bus stop at Watkins Glen. He concluded:

"It's similar. Yeah, I think it's a sharper, faster hit, but it's one versus the bus stop, the old bus stop at Watkins Glen. I think it's a sharper, faster hit, but it's one versus the bus stop, the old bus stop at Watkins Glen. It would be three of them going through there. You know what? I mean. It's more violent here." Kyle Busch spun out in the opening lap at Watkins Glen's bus stop, causing a multi-car wreck

During the opening lap of Go Blowing at the Glen held on September 15, 2024, former Cup Series champion Kyle Busch got hit by Corey Lajoie and caused a huge wreck.

The pack glided smoothly in the first three turns, but during the Bus Stop chicane between turns 4 and 5, Lajoie, the pilot of the #7 Chevy Camaro ZL1, hit the rear left side of the #8 driver, collecting many playoff drivers in the wreck.

Initially, Busch's spinning car collected driver #20 Christopher Bell, causing damages to his car. The #11 Toyota driver Denny Hamlin also got involved in the crash and suffered hefty damages but was able to make it to the pits to recover.

This accident led to DNF, including Ryan Blaney, one of the leading playoff drivers.

Rick Stenhouse also got involved in the unfortunate wreck, leading to his 28th Cup Seris weekend with a DNF. Kyle Busch finished in 30th place behind Justin Haley. The #20 Toyota driver finished in 14th place, and the #11 driver was in 23rd place after the week.

On the other hand, Corey Lajoie secured a place in the top 10 and bagged eighth place.
