After taking in his first win of the season, Joey Logano made an interesting remark in his post-race press conference. He mentioned the reason why the #22 team was at an advantage as soon as they reached North Wilkesboro Speedway for the All-Star race, compared to others who were still figuring out the tires.

Speaking to the media after winning the All-Star race, Logano mentioned how he was "pretty proud" of his team as he shed some light on the test they had not long ago.

"We were able to make our car quite a bit faster at the test and then also go through so many tires. I said it earlier, I don’t know if you guys ever watched the movie Miracle before and the coach is making them run the suicide drills and he keeps saying again and again, that was Paul Wolfe to me at the test here. I ran over 800 laps in two days. I was sore. I had enough. It was warm out," Logano said. [1:20]

These comments from Logano regarding his test were then analyzed by NASCAR expert Jordan Bianchi.

NASCAR Expert shares his take on the post-race comments from Joey Logano

The remark in Joey Logano's post-race press conference, regarding the test, stuck out to NASCAR journalist and expert Jordan Bianchi, who credited it as one of the reasons why the Penske driver ended up winning the All-Star race.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Teardown, Bianchi pointed to Logano mentioning the tire tests he did at NWS 5-6 weeks ago, where he put in a lot of laps. As per Bianchi, that test and those laps enabled the #22 team to work on their racecar more instead of focusing on the tires when they reached NWS.

Bianchi claimed it was a key factor for them as they learned things and applied them elsewhere. This reminded him of a conversation from the past when Logano, at a tire test at Homestead, learned something from them that catapulted him to the championship.

"They are really really good to take up advantage of this opportunity to work on their racecar and hone it. And I asked him about that, and he's like, 'It starts with Paul Wolf, and we just have this mentality of we're grinding it out, we're going to put the time in, we're going to try things,'"he described. Bianchi claimed such instances speak about the #22 team and hinted that going forward, "they can figure this out a little bit."

He added that Logano winning the All-Star race was a statement, considering where they were before this win, and a good example of them saying "When we're on it, we're on it."
