Kyle Busch shared the roadmap for Brexton's racing career as his son climbs the ranks. Busch believes his nine-year-old son could become competitive enough to join the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series by age 16.

With two NASCAR Cup Series championships to his name, Kyle Busch is among the top drivers in the premier series. Off the track, the 39-year-old driver is married to Samantha Busch, who he shares two children with, namely, Brexton and Lennix.

In an interview with NASCAR insider and The Athletic writer Jeff Gluck, Busch was asked what the next steps were for Brexton in the next seven years. The No. 8 Richard Childress Racing driver said his son would soon run Legend cars and CARS Tour Pro Late Models.

“When he turns 10, he can run Legend cars, so we’ll add that in next May. And then at 12, you’re allowed to run the CARS Tour Pro Late Models. So he’ll probably get into some of that at 12,” Busch said.

The Las Vegas native believes Brexton needed some experience running on road courses. Thus, he tapped former Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Greg Ives and former F1 driver Max Papis to work with his son in the off-season.

“We also need to get more road racing experience. I don’t feel like he’s got enough road course stuff yet. So we need to do some karting, and we’re going to do some of that this offseason and work with Greg Ives and Max," the 39-year-old said.

At age 14, Kyle Busch's son Brexton could run different racing series, including Trans Am TA2, road racing series, Late Model Stock, and Super Late Models.

Kyle Busch aims to get his son ready for NASCAR’s stock pickup truck racing league by age 16, saying:

“I want to keep him on the dirt and asphalt realm, I don’t feel like you should go one way or the other. I like what we’re doing right now, he gets in his Bandolero car and he knows what he’s got to do on pavement, he gets into his dirt car and he knows what he’s got to do on dirt. So I really like that. We’ll probably stick with some of that mixture. And then by 16, he’ll be ready for some Trucks.”

While Brexton continues to climb the racing ranks, Kyle Busch competes in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has five races left this year to extend his streak of winning at least one race in a season, with Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course next on the calendar.

Last year, the family wore Netflix's Wednesday-themed outfits mimicking the fictional Addams family. Kyle dressed as Gomez Addams, while Samantha imitated Morticia Addams.

Meanwhile, Brexton and Lennix dressed up as Cousin Itt and Wednesday Addams, respectively. The Busch family also gave their dog a costume reminiscent of Pugsley Addams.
