Dana White has just lent a helping hand to one of the UFC featherweight division's most beloved legends. He took to social media to draw interest toward an MMA promotion helmed by octagon veteran Chan Sung Jung, better known as 'The Korean Zombie'.

White filmed a clip of himself hyping up Jung's promotion, even disclosing that it has its first-ever event on June 29. Moreover, the former fighter's organization which is called Z-Fight Night, will stream on UFC Fight Pass:

"What's up, everybody? I just want to let you know, fan favorite and one of my all-time favorite fighters, 'The Korean Zombie', just launched his own MMA promotion that you can watch live on UFC Fight Pass. His first event is Saturday, June 29. The kicker, it's at 6 AM in the morning on the East Coast, 7 PM Korea Standard Time, live from Korea University in Seoul. Congratulations, 'Korean Zombie', and I look forward to seeing your shows, buddy."

Naturally, fans reacted to the news, flocking to a tweet that's shared the clip of White's promotion of Z-Fight Night.

One fan highlighted that the time zone difference means Z-Fight Night won't compete with UFC 303, which is also on June 29:

"Tbf it's at 6am American time so it's basically zero competition to the UFC lmao"

Another fan hinted at possible financial benefits of the deal:

"It's streaming on UFC Fight Pass, you know he's getting crazy royalties from it"

Others, however, praised White for rewarding Jung's years of service in such fashion:

"After all Zombie has given to the UFC its the least Dana can do"

The skepticism was, though, rampant:

"Obviously getting something for it."

Regardless, White will certainly follow Jung's journey as a promoter closely, with the potential for more.

Dana White has helped another ex-UFC fighter with promoting

'The Korean Zombie' isn't the only ex-UFC fighter-turned-MMA promoter that Dana White has given a platform to.

Original 'BMF' champion Jorge Masvidal launched Gamebred Fighting Championship, a bare-knuckle MMA promotion, and iKON FC, the latter of which debuted on UFC Fight Pass like Z-Fight Night will.

Other ex-UFC fighters who became promoters include unbeaten lightweight legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, who founded Eagle FC, where Kevin Lee once faced Diego Sanchez, beating him via unanimous decision.
