Dana White keeps door open for a potential Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira clash

UFC CEO Dana White has hinted at a potential superfight between heavyweight champion Jon Jones and light heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira. Fuelled by the persistent calls from UFC commentator Joe Rogan, White admitted that the matchup is a "possibility."

Pereira has expressed interest in moving up to heavyweight, and his dominant performances have intensified the clamor for a clash with the undefeated Jones. While Jones is currently slated to defend his title against Stipe Miocic, a matchup with Pereira could be on the cards for the future, according to White.

Appearing in The Big Podcast with Shaq, the UFC CEO said:

“It’s a possibility, I mean, [Joe] Rogan is pushing me right now to try and make that fight... Guys, let me explain something to you, Jon Jones is a whole other level. I consider Jon Jones the greatest combat fighter of all time… Jon Jones is the nastiest dude ever in the history [of combat sports]... Jon’s got a dark side to him, man, Jon’s got those dogs that’ll rip your arms apart and do all of that s***, he shoots guns. Jon Jones is a killer in every way that you can be a killer.” [Bloody Elbow]
