The MMA community went into a frenzy when former ONE flyweight MMA world champion Adriano Moraes scored a massive knockout victory against the legendary Demetrious Johnson during their first meeting in April 2021 at ONE on TNT I that went down inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

ONE Championship published the fight highlights of Moraes' monumental win over Johnson, plus the other bouts from the card and the video's description read:

"Relive the best action from a SHOCKING night of martial arts action at ONE on TNT I, featuring flyweight king Adriano Moraes' stunning KNOCKOUT of all-time great Demetrious Johnson, Muay Thai megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon's explosive return to "the art of eight limbs", a controversial finish to the lightweight showdown between American legend Eddie Alvarez and #2-ranked Iuri Lapicus, and MORE!"

'Mikinho's' length caused problems for Johnson, and his top-tier submission skills made Johnson more cautious of his attack. Moraes threatened an early heel hook submission, but 'Mighty Mouse' countered and escaped the danger.

However, Moraes landed a perfectly timed uppercut that removed Johnson's equilibrium. The Brazilian MMA star immediately jumped on the American and ended the match with a left knee strike to end the match via knockout.

It was Johnson's first and only knockout loss, which made this triumph of Moraes even more impressive.

Adriano Moraes to face Danny Kingad in a rematch on Nov. 8 at ONE 169

The American Top Team and Constrictor Team representative is currently preparing for a rematch against Filipino MMA star Danny Kingad, as they will be part of the upcoming ONE 169 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Moraes looks to reassert his mastery over the Lions Nation MMA representative after he previously defeated him in their first match in November 2017 at ONE: Legends of the World, where he scored a first-round submission victory to fend off his challenge for the ONE flyweight MMA world title.
