UFC CEO and president Dana White showcased his wealth as well as his generosity during an appearance at the recent Fanatics Fest event. White purchased a rare Mike Tyson collectible, in addition to earning considerable praise for his act of kindness.

The UFC's official website had recently indicated that the organization would be participating in 'Fanatics Fest NYC,' which was scheduled to run from Aug. 16 to Aug. 18, 2024. White was one of the UFC representatives who were in attendance.

Incidentally, Kenny Duncan Jr. approached White for a photo and attempted to gift him a Mike Tyson memorabilia, a card-shaped gold coin of the legendary boxer. Duncan happens to be the co-founder of 'Celebrity Mint,' which is an organization that creates card-shaped commemorative coins of sports legends.

As reported by TMZ, he wanted to give White the item for free but ended up receiving $600 for it. The MMA personality was initially surprised and asked Duncan how much the collectible was worth:

"What the f**k? You're going to give it to me? What's this thing go for?"

While the individual responded by suggesting that it was worth a "hundred bucks," White displayed a fat wad of cash. The UFC head honcho indicated that he wanted to be "fair" and proceeded to hand some cash to Duncan, eliciting cheers from onlookers.

The collectible was a 0.5-gram gold legal tender trading coin. It'd been sealed and authenticated by the U.S.-based NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company), which has long been a reputable third-party grading service for medals, coins, and other items.

In a recent Instagram post put forth via Celebrity Mint, the Mike Tyson collectible's price was listed as $179.99. Moreover, it was implied that there were only 900 of them made by the company.

Dana White opens up on receiving the Mike Tyson memorabilia

Former undisputed heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson has attended multiple UFC events over the years and extensively featured in social media content with Dana White. The UFC exec has consistently expressed his love and support for Tyson, his longtime friend.

Presently, Tyson is scheduled to box longtime UFC and Dana White critic Jake Paul on Nov. 15, 2024.

For his part, Dana White seemed elated to have collected the Mike Tyson souvenir at the Fanatics Fest in New York. Seated at a table with a few others, the 55-year-old showcased the item to the camera and further signaled that the values of UFC fighter collectibles were witnessing impressive growth. The veteran American entrepreneur stated:

"These are some of the hottest cards. You got this Mike Tyson one. Actually, a guy walked up and gave me this. Somebody walked away -- these guys are like, 'That's a legit, real card.' So, down here at Fanatics, our fans, if you're not into cards, all these cards from UFC fighters are starting to go like this [*points upward]."
