The rivalry between UFC CEO Dana White and former promotional light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz is well advertised. Over the years, the pair have engaged in a series of verbal fencing duels that almost culminated in a boxing showdown.

Indubitably, Ortiz tops the list of fighters who rubbed the UFC head honcho in the wrong way. The retired UFC fighter also issued legal threats after their business relationship soured dramatically. Even to this day, the pair never miss a beat to deliver stinging jabs at each other.

In keeping with that dynamic, White made a consistent effort to comment on several posts of seemingly verbal blunders from Ortiz. The Instagram handle, @falcongfx_, dedicated to snippets of Ortiz seemingly faltering caught White's attention.

The UFC CEO hilariously reacted to the video of an awkward mix-up on Ortiz's part between Cris Cyborg and Ronda Rousey. He replied:

"LMFAO!!!! Cyborg's face when he calls her Ronda. Did I seriously just hire this dude to manage my career!?!?"

White also commented on a video of Ortiz lashing out at people claiming that he suffers from CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy). He commented:

"Tito's not punch drunk at all. He was this dumb before he started fighting. It's not his speech. He doesn't have CTE, he has D.U.M.B. When you are trying to tell people, "I'm intelligent," you are most likely not."

Then there was a video of the former UFC light heavyweight champion talking about his perspective on the afterlife. White commented:

"I think it's actually in the Bible. All praise Tito Ortiz!! My BOY!!"

Why didn't the boxing clash between Dana White and Tito Ortiz materialize?

UFC CEO Dana White has had his fair share of relationships with athletes deteriorate over the years, but perhaps no one has rankled him more than Tito Ortiz.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion was once managed by White. Yet, at the height of their feud, there were reports that the pair agreed to a boxing clash and White even went through training for the fight.

Ortiz highlighted his side of the story in a conversation with Mike Perry on the Overdogs podcast. He said:

"To be strictly honest and truthful, it's something that was never gonna happen because Dana said that we couldn't do the contract that he agreed upon prior saying 50-50...And I agreed upon that...I understand the business model from the very beginning. That's why they tried to cancel me. That's why they tried to get me out...Put me in a bad limelight. And I get it, I understand it's business."
