In the first UFC event in Denver since 2018, Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez will headline a 12-fight card on July 13 at the Ball Arena. The event weigh-in was not without its drama but all fighters competing on the card successfully recorded their contracted limit.

As one of the first fighters to the scale, Namajunas easily made the flyweight limit, coming in well below at 124.75 pounds. As a longtime strawweight and already acclimated to the Denver altitude as a resident of the city, 'Thug Rose' weighing in without trouble was expected.

However, Cortez created much more drama, being one of the final two fighters to reach the scale. After coming in a half-pound over the non-title limit, the 30-year-old cut off roughly half of her hair backstage before returning to the scale and officially coming in at 126 pounds.

Following Cortez, middleweight Josh Fremd was the last fighter to weigh in but did so without much trouble to make every fight on the card official.

Aside from Rose Namajunas, three other fighters on the card will be from Colorado. Namajunas and Drew Dober both train with the Elevation Fight Team in Denver while Fremd and Cody Brundage train with the nearby Factory X Muay Thai team.
