UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira returns to action to defend his title against Khalil Rountree Jr. in the main event of UFC 307. The highly anticipated fight is set to take place on Oct. 5 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pereira, a former Glory kickboxing champion, has been on a dominant run since moving up to light heavyweight. He has won all four of his UFC fights in the division, having picked up impressive victories over Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill. Rountree, meanwhile, is riding a five-fight winning streak and is considered a dangerous striker in his own right.
The co-main event of UFC 307 will feature a women's bantamweight title fight between champion Raquel Pennington and former champion Julianna Pena. Pennington won the title in January by defeating Mayra Bueno Silva, while Pena is looking to regain the belt after losing it to Amanda Nunes in July 2022.
