Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are ramping up the online banter leading into their sequel clash before year's end. The two had a massive blockbuster boxing bout earlier this year and will run it back in a consequential contest before 2024 is over.

Fury shared a clip of Usyk on his Instagram stories, asking the former if he was ready for their rematch following the unified heavyweight champion's comments about being confident for their December clash.

Fury imposed some text over the aforementioned clip to his Instagram, stating:

"on the 23 Dec. u will still be smashed up kid. The question is are you!"

Tyson Fury and the Oleksandr Usyk saga so far

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have no love lost between them with the two combatants carving out an incredible path for themselves in this era of the sport.

The 36-year-old and Usyk had a historic contest in May of this year whereby the winner could call themselves the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the world of boxing in almost a quarter of a century.

'The Gypsy King' would suffer his first defeat as a professional pugilist as he fell short by way of a split decision. Meanwhile, Usyk sports a spotless professional record of 22-0 heading into this consequential sequel with Fury.

His days of being undisputed in boxing's glamour division would not last for long though as the IBF belt will now be up for grabs in the looming matchup between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, set to go down on Sept. 21.

The native of the United Kingdom looks to avenge his lone boxing defeat as a pro and looks to return to form following that Usyk loss as well as his Francis Ngannou performance that many onlookers thought Fury should have lost despite getting the nod on the scorecards.

The rematch between Fury and Usyk is set to go down on Dec. 21. The rumblings are that the Joshua vs. Dubois winner is likely to take on the victor of Fury vs. Usyk II to once again solidify an undisputed champion in 2025 but that remains to be seen.
