Tyron Woodley recently provided an update on what he has been up to as of late and shared exciting plans for an MMA comeback fight. The former UFC welterweight champion described his training and noted that he is physically capable of training and competing in MMA again.

The former welterweight champion parted ways with the UFC following his submission loss to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 in 2021. It was his fourth consecutive loss and the final bout on his contract, which ended his tenure with the promotion. Following his departure, Woodley transitioned to boxing and competed in back-to-back bouts against Jake Paul.

While speaking to Brian Mazique, 'The Chosen One' disclosed that he is preparing for a return to MMA and took the past year off from competition to heal his body. Woodley mentioned that he intends to do compete in both boxing and MMA and hinted that it will be a big fight:

"Now I kinda got everything in position. Now I can focus on getting this body back in shape, getting ready to do more destruction...MMA [is next]. I'm not done with the boxing thing either cause it's fun, it's easier on the body to train, it's less martial arts you have to do together. But I'm prepared for a big MMA fight. I can't give out a lot of it, but I'm working on something right now." [1:16 - 1:48]
