The cheeky rivalry between reigning UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad and former titleholder Kamaru Usman continues. In a recent post uploaded to Usman's Instagram, 'The Nigerian Nightmare' was seen hanging out with fellow UFC fighters Ignacio 'La Jaula' Bahamondes and Jared 'Flash' Gordon.

While this may look like a normal photo between fellow UFC fighters, what's interesting is that both Bahamondes and Gordon used to be teammates and training partners of Belal Muhammad.

MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter posted a screenshot of the post on X and tagged Muhammad:

"@bullyb170 This is some nWo stuff right here"

Bronsteter was alluding to popular pro wrestling faction NWO, which was known to switch, let go, and acquire members all the time. The faction eventually broke down into two groups, in which members kept on switching sides all the time.

Muhammad replied to the tweet with:

"[Kamaru] Usman was trying to get them to go to a diddy party"

More on Belal Muhammad vs Kamaru Usman online beef

While the online beef between Belal Muhammad and Kamaru Usman includes the usual "I'll beat you" threats here and there, there are one or two bits of hilarious banter.

Perhaps the wittiest one was when 'Remember the Name' impishly criticized Usman's performance in the movie Black Panther, saying that his part in the movie "sucked". To this, 'The Nigerian Nightmare' brilliantly clapped back:

"lol glad you watched me in BP😉. Unfortunately no one wants to watch you fight much less put you in a movie."

As of this writing, it's uncertain if the two will eventually fight each other inside the Octagon - ideally with gold on the line. We do, however, enjoy this healthy banter between the two. It makes for a more compelling narrative if they ever lock horns in the future.
