Dana White recently opened up about his plans to venture into boxing and hinted at doing things differently than traditional promoters. It's no secret that White has been interested in the sport for a long time and ambitiously tried to kickstart Zuffa Boxing in 2017, which ultimately failed to take off.
During a recent post-fight press conference after DWCS 8 last weekend, White addressed questions about his interest in boxing and claimed he had a solid map to move forward with his plans. White also addressed a question regarding boxers potentially fighting under one promotion, much like the UFC.
White pointed out how that has been tried before and said:
"It's not like that hasn't been done before. There have been dominant promoters before that have had most of the talent locked up... Listen, I think if you ask anybody... The UFC model works. It works."
After @ChampRDS reposted a clip of White's comments from the DWCS 8 presser, fans flocked to the post's comments section to express their thoughts.

Mike Tyson on Dana White venturing into the world of boxing promotion
Mike Tyson recently shared his thoughts on Dana White entering the boxing promotion business. 'The Baddest Man On The Planet' was highly supportive of White's ideas and backed the UFC head honcho trying his hand at boxing promotion.
During an appearance on the It Is What It Is podcast, Tyson boldly predicted that White could take the sport to another level and elevate the fans' experience. He said:
"That's going to be the best thing to happen to boxing because Dana - listen, just like UFC, right? Listen, if you're in UFC, and if anybody's booing a fight, you're not going to see that guy. Their next fight is going to be somewhere in South Dakota. There's only good fights. If you don't have a good fight, you ain't never going to see that guy again."
