Tom Aspinall recently sounded off on the UFC's plans for Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic and believes the promotion should change those plans in favor of a title unification bout. He noted by claiming that fans aren't clamoring for the clash between Jones and Miocic.

There has been plenty of debate among the MMA community regarding the UFC's commitment to Jones fighting Miocic rather than the Englishman, who has taken the division by storm en route to his interim heavyweight championship win. Dana White has already confirmed that the promotion won't change their plans, which has resulted in Aspinall continuing to clamor for the title unification bout.

Championship Rounds recently tweeted a clip from the Englishman's conversation with UFC on TNT Sports, where he opened up about the former heavyweight champion receiving a title shot. Aspinall made a comparison to the current United States presidential election and mentioned that the UFC needs to remove Miocic from the fight in favor of himself. He said:

"Let's be honest, like, [Miocic] is 43 years old [41], he's had a four-year layoff, and his last fight was a knockout loss. Granted he's an absolute legend in this sport of MMA...Statistically the best heavyweight ever. But, the guy needs to be pulled out of the race. The guy needs to be Joe Biden'd, mate, he's too old. No one's that interested anymore."
