Song Yadong recently took a dig at Henry Cejudo. Yadong slammed the former double champion for calling out Sean O'Malley and claimed that Cejudo has been "ducking" him.

For context, O'Malley recently appeared on Kamaru Usman and Cejudo's Pound 4 Pound podcast. During his appearance, 'Sugar' poked fun at 'Triple C's' performance against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 before abruptly ending the interview, belittling his wrestling defense.

While Usman subsequently praised O'Malley, Cejudo predicted the champion to lose to Merab Dvalishvili at Noche UFC 306. The former two-division champion stated that if 'Sugar' loses his belt, the next logical matchup is O'Malley vs. Cejudo.

"Once he [O'Malley] loses to Merab [Dvalishvili], because I do believe he's going to lost to Merab, the next fight that's up is me and him, you know? Like, Deiveson [Figueiredo] is gonna fight Petr Yan, Umar [Nurmagomedov] is already fighting for the belt. The only dude that's really left in that division is myself."

However, this didn't sit well with Yadong, who took to X to call out Cejudo, writing:

''@HenryCejudo You’ve been ducking me since July. I know you told them you had injury, you want to go back to FW. But now you asking for @SugaSeanMMA ??? Get fans what they want! See me in Macau!''

Cejudo has competed twice after coming out of retirement in 2023. He suffered a split-decision loss to Sterling last year. In his most recent octagon outing at UFC 298 earlier this year, Cejudo suffered a unanimous decision loss to Dvalishvili.

Meanwhile, Yadong is 2-2 in his last four octagon outings. The Chinese fighter is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Petr Yan at UFC 299.

Urijah Faber believes Song Yadong will "whoop" Henry Cejudo

Prior to Song Yadong's call-out to Henry Ceudo, the Chinese fighter's coach, Urijah Faber, shared his thoughts on a potential fight between his pupil and the former 125 and 135-pound king.

In an interview with MMA Junkie in July, Faber revealed that Yadong and Cejudo were rumored to clash at Noche UFC 306. However, the latter is still recovering from an injury and is sidelined. If the two were to lock horns, Faber backs his student to come out on top.

''I like Cejudo, too, so I wouldn’t like to see that for Cejudo because I think Song would whoop him. And I think maybe Cejudo knows that. So I don’t know if that fight is going to happen... It was thrown on the table for the Sphere. I think Cejudo maybe was injured, and so we’re waiting on what’s next for Song.''
