Former UFC welterweight Ben Askren is looking jacked years after he retired from the sport. 'Funky', not known for having the most chiseled physique despite his remarkable achievements in the sport, is looking like he got a new, more ripped body. This is quite ironic as the former Bellator champion achieved this when he's no longer active as a pro.

In a Reddit channel dedicated to UFC updates, a user named Parasyte-vn took a screenshot of one of Askren's Instagram videos, showing the new physique:

Meanwhile, Creative-Loveswing said:

Ben Askren trolls Conor McGregor's plan to run for president

While Ben Askren is not known for his physique, he is quite famous for another thing: his masterful trolling skills. In a recent tweet, 'Funky' trolled Irish MMA icon Conor McGregor.

While this is not the first time Askren trolled McGregor, this is especially scathing as he shot down the Irishman's boldest proclamation yet: to run for president. BRICS News tweeted the news of 'The Notorious' running for the presidency, saying:

"JUST IN: 🇮🇪 Conor McGregor announces he is running for President of Ireland in 2025."

Askren replied to the tweet:

"lol almost as likely as him fighting in 2023 😂😂😂 @dc_mma [Daniel Cormier] shoulda listened to me"

What makes Askren an effective troll is the fact that there's a lot of truth in what he says. McGregor was last seen in action in mid-2021. Throughout 2022 and 2023, despite multiple announcements that he'll be fighting soon, 'The Notorious' never saw the inside of the Octagon in more than three years.

Askren debuted in the UFC in 2019 after a successful career in other promotions. He compiled a 1-2 record in the promotion before retiring from MMA in the same year. In 2021, he came out of retirement to face Jake Paul in a boxing match, in which he was knocked out in the first round.
