Sean Strickland recently discussed Khalil Rountree Jr.'s title fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 307. Strickland claimed that Rountree Jr. lacks the skill set to defeat Pereira.

Rountree Jr. is set to challenge Pereira for the light heavyweight title at UFC 307. The pay-per-view event will take place on Oct. 5 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The reigning champion traveled to Utah many weeks ahead of the event to hone his skills for fighting at an altitude.

Pereira invited Strickland to join him in training camp to help him prepare for his title fight. Following their bout at UFC 276, where the Brazilian viciously knocked out Strickland, the two have formed a bond. The 33-year-old 'Tarzan' took an unexpected move and started training with Pereira ahead of his UFC middleweight title win last year.

In a recent interview with Helen Yee, Strickland gave his thoughts on the Pereira vs. Rountree Jr. matchup, saying:

''I just can't see Khalil pulling it off... I think I may have watched him fight Anthony Smith, I just can't see it happening. I don't think he has the tools in the toolbox to beat Alex. He's not knocking him out, he's not out striking him, he's not out wrestling him.''

Strickland then shared his prediction for the fight, saying:

''I think Alex is going to make easy work of this fight.''

Strickland has been calling for a rematch since losing his middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 297 earlier this year. 'Tarzan' is coming off a split-decision victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 302 and is anticipated to face du Plessis next.

Nassourdine Imavov discusses potential fight with Sean Strickland

Following his unanimous decision win over Brendan Allen at UFC Paris this past weekend, Nassourdine Imavov opened up about his future in the post-fight press conference. He said:

''Of course, the following is going to be to fight for the belt, but if the belt is not here, I want to keep being busy, and I want to fight anyone in front of me in the rankings''

Imavov had the following response when questioned about a possible rematch with Sean Strickland, whom the Frenchman lost to last year:

''Of course, it would be a great pleasure for me to do it. It’s even more exciting than the belt to fight against Strickland and to take my revenge.”
