Sean Strickland recently shared his reaction to Amazon Prime Video's fantasy television series 'The Rings of Power', and it's safe to say the former UFC middleweight champion is not a fan of the show.

The show is based on legendary author J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth history, and the storyline is meant to serve as a prequel to the 'The Lord of The Rings' saga. While many fans of Tolkien appreciated the show, it appears Strickland didn't like it at all. The ever-outspoken fighter recently reacted to @PrimeVideo's X post showing a scene from the show and wrote in the comments section:

"Trash."

Fans soon flocked to the comments section under Strickland's reply to share their thoughts on the matter.

One fan seemingly agreed with Strickland and wrote:

@TheRingsofPower is telling a very strange story and the characters are totally unrelated to the original. Seems too DEI for our family."

Another fan wrote:

"Agreed. This show put me to sleep multiple times."

One user outlined:

"I tried watching it once, didn’t really get into it. Think I’m going to try to watch it again. Could have just been the times we were in."

Robert Whittaker on potential Dricus du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland title rematch

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker recently shared his thoughts on a potential Dricus du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland rematch.

Strickland lost the 185-pound strap to du Plessis via split decision at UFC 297 earlier this year in an exciting, closely contested fight. Strickland bounced back from the loss with another split decision victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 302 in June. In the aftermath, 'Tarzan' made it clear he wanted another run at the title.

With du Plessis' fourth-round submission win over Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, many have wondered if the South African champion would be booked for a rematch against Strickland.

During an interview with Submission Radio, Whittaker opened up about that potential rematch and backed du Plessis to win again, saying:

"If you give him any space, if you give him any opportunity to crawl back in, he just keeps coming... Exactly. I think that's exactly it. It's like you need to take the fight to him for 25 minutes. You cannot give him any space. You cannot let him in. You cannot give him opportunity. You cannot relax. You cannot sit on your laurels. You need to be wired on, locked in, for 25 minutes."
