Brian Ortega recently confronted a fan following his loss to Diego Lopes at Noche UFC 306 after the individual made taunting remarks at him about Tracy Cortez. This incident has sparked reactions from MMA fans worldwide.

Ortega squared off against Lopes in a featherweight bout at Noche UFC 306 last weekend at the Las Vegas Sphere. The two were previously slated to face each other at UFC 303. However, 'T-City' fell ill and was forced to withdraw on the day of the bout, with Dan Ige stepping in as a short-term replacement to take on Lopes.

The rescheduled fight got off to a fast start with both fighters trading blows. In the opening round, Lopes landed devastating shots that sent Ortega to the ground. The Brazilian dominated the fight, setting the pace and delivering powerful strikes. Despite his best efforts, Ortega was unable to mount a meaningful offense.

Following 15 minutes of explosive action, the judges scored the contest in favor of Lopes and declared him the winner via unanimous decision.

While returning to the backstage area after the fight, Ortega became agitated and confronted a fan who mocked him for his loss with remarks about Cortez.

Dana White reveals Brian Ortega's eye injury after Noche UFC 306

In their featherweight encounter at Noche UFC 306, Diego Lopes almost secured a knockout in the opening round against Brian Ortega, who displayed his resilience and managed to survive the stanza.

However, Lopes proved to be too much for Ortega, who sustained horrific damage to his left eye.

Following the event, UFC CEO Dana White shared a picture of Ortega's eye injury on his Instagram. It was reposted by @mmamania on X.

According to promotion officials who spoke to MMA Mania, Ortega was sent to a nearby hospital for a facial scan.
