Fans have been left scratching their heads after a recent incident involving former UFC champion TJ Dillashaw and Kick streamer N3on. The two were spotted at a McDonald's outlet, but while N3on was immediately swarmed by fans for selfies, Dillashaw went almost completely unnoticed.

In a viral clip, one individual can be heard asking Dillashaw if he is Canelo Alvarez, mistaking him for the boxing champion. It was only after N3on introduced Dillashaw as 'Lieutenant Dan' that fans finally realized who he was. Even then, Dillashaw continued to be overshadowed by the attention given to N3on.

Dillashaw, who last fought in October 2022, has since retired from MMA. His final UFC bout was a loss to Aljamain Sterling, which he said was hampered by a dislocated shoulder.

A look into TJ Dillashaw's UFC career

TJ Dillashaw made his UFC debut in 2011, losing to John Dodson in the finale of 'The Ultimate Fighter' 14. However, he quickly rebounded with a series of impressive victories, earning a title shot against Renan Barao.

In a stunning upset, Dillashaw defeated Barao in 2014 to become the UFC bantamweight champion. He successfully defended the title against Barao before losing it to Dominick Cruz.

Dillashaw regained the title in 2017 defeating Cody Garbrandt. However, his reign was cut short after he tested positive for a banned substance and was stripped of the belt.

Following a two-year suspension, Dillashaw returned to the UFC and challenged Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title in 2022. Despite a valiant effort, Dillashaw lost the fight and announced his retirement shortly after.
