Ryan Garcia shades Terence Crawford's "overhyped" boxing credentials: "Hasn't beat anybody other than Errol Spence who went through a car crash"

Boxing superstar Ryan Garcia gives his brutally honest critique of two-time undisputed champion Terence Crawford.

'KingRy', currently serving a one-year doping suspension, went all in on 'Bud', even challenging the Nebraska native in his usual unfiltered way.

Talking with Say Cheese on YouTube, Garcia questioned Crawford's quality, claiming he's "overhyped", considering his most significant win came over a car crash victim. Garcia alluded to Spence Jr. being involved in multiple road accidents over the years. He said:

“Terence Crawford really hasn’t beat anybody other than Errol Spence who went through a car crash… Crawford ain’t like that. He’s an overhyped bum. I'm sorry, somebody had to say it. You're an overhyped bum, you f***ing suck bro. You're not entertaining, you’re boring as f*** Come see me in the ring if you think I’m talking s***.”

Crawford defeated Spence Jr. via referee stoppage in round nine in July 2023, ending 'The Truth's undefeated streak.

Ryan Garcia gives Terence Crawford his props but maintains 'Bud' is not worth the hype

You can always depend on Ryan Garcia to spark controversy or a feud with his opponents. Garcia is notorious for being willing to throw down, whether with fists or words, anyone at any time. Recently, the WBC and WBO champion, Terence Crawford came under fire by Garcia as he tore down 'Bud' and all his credentials.

However, 'KingRy' didn't fail to acknowledge the pugilistic ability of the 36-year-old as he praised his skill. But, at the same time, he disregarded the hype that Crawford has garnered over his 41 bouts.

During the aforementioned interview with Say Cheese, Garcia was asked if he could take Crawford, to which the 26-year-old replied:

"I could definitely see Crawford bro, what do you mean? I was one of the best fighters in the amateurs bro, he was too. I have seen many fighters like him too, trust me."

On being asked whether Crawford could take away his famed left hook, Garcia remained unimpressed as he laid down the apparent weaknesses in Crawford's game:

“I don’t give a f*ck what he could take away. I could find a way to get him too. F*ck him bro, he’s not that good bro, he gets hit a lot. He gets wobbled hit bro. He’s not untouchable, bro. You act like he’s Mayweather, he ain’t Mayweather.”

Garcia added:

“He's not Mayweather. Don’t compare him with Mayweather. Don’t compare people with Mayweather. There’s one Mayweather. He’s not Mayweather. He’s more of a like, you know, a good fighter. He is his own person, Terence Crawford; And, I don’t think that he’s not a good fighter but I don’t think he’s as good as people say. He’s not Sugar Ray Leonard.”
