Ryan Garcia recently confirmed that he is working on his return to the ring and promised massive fights when he's back in action. He certainly has plenty of options as there will still be significant interest in seeing him compete.
'King Ryan' was handed a one-year retroactive suspension following his bout against Devin Haney after he tested positive for a banned substance. As a result of his failed test, his impressive majority decision win over 'The Dream' was overturned to a no contest.
This made his updated professional record 24-1-1. Furthermore, he will be eligible to return to the ring on Apr. 20, 2025, because of the retroactive ruling. Since his suspension, the 26-year-old has remained active on social media and in the public eye as he attended MMA events including Super RIZIN 3 and Noche UFC 306.
'King Ryan' recently took to his X account and provided an update regarding his return to the ring. Garcia mentioned that he is pursuing top competition but indicated that his first bout following his suspension could be a tune-up rather than the biggest name available:
"Boxing jail going quick. I'll be in the ring in no time. I'm already going after the biggest fights. Maybe one tune up [because] it's been a year."

Ryan Garcia expresses interest in rematch against Gervonta 'Tank' Davis
In addition to his recent update regarding his return to the ring, Ryan Garcia expressed interest in a rematch against Gervonta 'Tank' Davis.
The 26-year-old fought 'Tank' in a highly anticipated clash in April 2023, however, he came up short as the Baltimore native earned a knockout win following a body shot. It was his first career loss, which makes it logical why he'd like a rematch.
'King Ryan' responded to a fan's tweet claiming that he was faster during his bout against 'Tank' than he was against 'The Dream'. Garcia mentioned that even though his speed was different, he was a lot more confident in his most recent bout and would like an opportunity to avenge his loss:
"Difference is I felt strong [and] healthy with Haney. You can make the argument that I was faster but I was more calm and confident against Haney. Either way, I want a rematch"
