Quinton Jackson recently detailed the origin of his 'Rampage' slap and noted that it originated from a well-known Japanese pro wrestling legend. The former UFC light heavyweight champion has been known for his charismatic personality as well as some memorable exchanges in some of his interviews.
Among the notable exchanges includes 'Rampage' playfully slapping Canadian MMA reporter Ariel Helwani during a past interview. He recently recounted doing something similar during a streaming event called 'Hunger Games', which saw him slap three men at once during a three-on-one situation.
During the latest episode of his JAXXON PODCAST, the UFC legend disclosed that he got the idea while he was fighting in Pride after watching Japanese pro wrestling legend Antonio Inoki on television. Jackson described what transpired and mentioned that it provided shock value as a viewer. He said:
"I'm in Japan one time in my hotel room alone, bored watching Japanese TV and I see him come on TV. I don't understand nothing...The lady took the microphone and she said his name...and she slapped him. He just stone cold just looked at her...[slap motion] I only ever see him slap people one time and she flew off the camera...[Inoki] slapped that sh*t out of them. They were like, important people...I was like, 'damn, what the f*** am I watching?'"

Quinton Jackson recounts slapping three people during 'Hunger Games' stream
Prior to disclosing the origin of his 'Rampage' slap, Quinton Jackson recounted the hilarious story of slapping three people during his appearance on popular streamer Foucey's 'Hunger Games' stream.
During the aforementioned episode, Jackson mentioned that he resorted to the 'Rampage' slap because he didn't want to wrestle all three. He said:
"I slapped all three of them...They had already decided that it was gonna be three against one. So I said, 'it's not fair'. I said, 'I'm not wrestling three dudes...I'll fight'. They said, 'no, just wrestling'. Then I was like, oh, let me slap these motherfu***. So I put them all together, and that's how the whole thing started."
