Quinton Jackson recently opened up about the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Conor McGregor's status for UFC 303. He answered whether he believes the Irishman will compete at the event, which is scheduled to cap off the promotion's International Fight Week on June 29.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding the status of the bout after the press conference between 'The Notorious' and his opponent Michael Chandler was canceled. Many feared that the bout would be canceled as well, however, there have been optimistic updates that indicate the fight is still on.

While speaking to The Schmo, 'Rampage' weighed in on the situation and explained why he believes the former two-division UFC champion will in fact be making his long awaited octagon return. Jackson heaped praise on McGregor's impact on the sport and mentioned that he and Chandler will compete as planned. He said:

"Oh yeah, I think Conor [McGregor] is gonna show up. You know, Conor, he needs to show up for the sport. He's the reason why our sport is at the height that it is right now, so you know, the world needs to see Conor McGregor in the cage doing his thing." [4:15 - 4:31]

Quinton Jackson answers if Conor McGregor will continue fighting after UFC 303

Quinton Jackson opened up about Conor McGregor's accomplishments in MMA and whether he believes the Irishman will continue fighting after UFC 303.

During the aforementioned interview, the former UFC light heavyweight champion mentioned that he believes McGregor loves competing because he is still fighting despite being very wealthy. He said:

"It depends on how much Conor [McGregor] loves the sport, right? Because, a lot of times you start off doing it for the love and then you make money and then it's like it's your job, so you keep doing it for the money even though you love it. Conor, we all know he don't need no money. He don't need that, that boy balling, he don't need no money, so I think he's doing it for the love." [4:40 - 5:03]
